Widely known as an actress for her roles in HBO's The Wire and The Corner, Maria Broom is also a long time dancer and storyteller. She is a Fulbright Scholar, OSI Fellow and a former newscaster for the ABC TV affiliates in Miami and Baltimore. Currently on faculty at the Baltimore School for the Arts, she teaches dance and storytelling in the theater department. As your guest speaker, presenter or mistress of ceremonies... her voice, skills and wisdom entice the audience to relax, listen and think from the heart.
